Introducing the Dahlia pattern!
The inspiration for the Dahlia came from my own desire to have a puff sleeve dress that felt easeful, playful and comfortable to wear! The bodice is drafted to be looser while still having shape through bust darts and a slightly tapered side seam. The curved front waistline adds interest while also creating added movement and comfort. The sleeve has ease in the armhole, sitting at the natural shoulder line and expanding from the shoulder down to the cuff, creating a gentle puff sleeve that sits just above the elbow. The gathered skirt has inseam pockets for the short and long dress views, and all views have a visible bound finish at the neckline and sleeve cuffs. There are 3 skirt options to choose from and 2 neckline options, creating 6 variations for you to make your Dahlia!
The Dahlia is offered in sizes XS-6XL. A straight stitch machine and serger are used to make this style, though it can be adapted to have french seams if you don't have access to a serger.
The recommended sewing level for this pattern is Intermediate.

Some recommendations for Dahlia include: cotton voile, cotton gauze, cotton lawn, lightweight linen, linen blends, silk/cotton blend, light chambray.
Main Fabric
The Dahlia Top requires 1.3- 2.3 M, the short Dahlia Dress 2-2.9 M, and the long Dahlia Dress 2.2-3.4 M depending on fabric width and size made.
The pattern includes printable files for both A4/letter and A0 printing along with detailed instructions.
