Introducing the Tulip top Pattern!
The Tulip top features a curved square neckline, shaped seams along the bust, lace up sides, and a petal like hem. The original inspiration for the Tulip top came from my own desire to make a corset-inspired top that had structure and lacing but prioritized comfort at the waistline. The style is fitted in the bust but has ease at the waist, made even more so by the Tulip-like hem. The lace up sides allow for easy adjustment for both comfort and fluctuating sizing. This feature also makes the Tulip top great for layering!
The Tulip top is offered in sizes XS-6XL with two fit versions based on bust size.
It is made with a clever construction to fully clean finish the inside, topstitching included! Only a straight stitch machine is needed, no serger.
The recommended sewing level for this pattern is Intermediate.
After 2 years of sewing this style myself and seeing it worn and loved by so many customers, I’m so excited to be able to share this style as a sewing pattern! I hope you enjoy sewing it as much as I do!
The Tulip top pattern comes in sizes XS-6XL in 2 fit versions based on bust sizing.

The Tulip top works best with medium to heavy weight fabrics. My favourites are denim, cotton twill and canvas, though many more fabrics are possible depending on the overall fit and feel you desire.
The Tulip top requires 0.6-0.8 meters (0.7-0.9 yards) for both the main fabric and the lining. The amount depends on which size you make.
The pattern includes printable files for both A4 and A0 printing along with details instructions. A sew along video is also available on YouTube here
